In honor of our one year anniversary that just passed, I wanted to do a recap of our most-wonderful wedding day. Our pictures came out amazing and I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out.
Anything that can be linked, I’ll link below π
Our venue, The Oaks at Boerne, was the PERFECT place for Sean and I. We both knew we wanted an outdoor wedding and we booked this place the moment we saw it. It was the perfect atmosphere for something as special s our wedding. Also, how cute is that picture of my husband and brother getting ready? π
The last picture with me and all my bridesmaids is one of my favorites! It was nice to have a special moment with my mom and friends before everything was about to start…
We wanted to do “first look” photos but also wanted to incorporate our wedding party. I’m still glad we did it this way. This also allowed us to get group photos before the ceremony which is a HUGE timesaver because after the ceremony, there are pictures… pictures with alllll the family. Let me tell you, it takes way more time than you think!
Yes, my chihuahua was in my wedding party. Peep the leash in the bridesmaids group photo haha poor Aubrey got cut out.Β
And so it began… After 10 years of dating we made it official and said our vows. Seans vows were amazing Β in every way. I expected them to be impressive since he writes for a living, but he really outdid himself this time, you can ask anyone who was there.
We had Sean’s uncle officiate (he’s our favorite) and we lit the same unity candle that my parents lit on their wedding day which was so special. In the picture where I’m lighting the candle, you can see their two little blurry faces right above my head :’) haha
I had asked one of my best friends, Elisha, to MC the wedding because he is honestly a natural on the mic! He did soooo good and made me laugh a bunch in the process! There was no one who could have done a better job.
Our first dance was to “Priceless” by Copeland. One of our favorites and one of my favorites since I was 13. It was so special having one our songs from our high school days be our first dance. Sean looked so cute singing along.
My dad and I danced to “Ruth Marie” by Mark Kozelek. I knew I wanted to dance to this song with my dad, but I was also worried about becoming a basket case… This song has always had a very special place in my heart. My dad always had great taste in music, I had the best childhood soundtrack anyone could ask for. One summer evening my dad told me and my sister to stand on this big rock that was outside in our backyard and listen to the words in “Ruth Marie” (he had a Bose sound system for the backyard of course) I stood on that rock and listened to the lyrics and I still remember the stillness in the air and the pink & blue sky. It’s because of my dad that I have the kind of love for music that I do.
Sean and his mom danced to a song she used to play when he was a kid too. I can’t remember the name or who it was by but it was so cute and a surprise for his mom π
When I was 7 or so, I asked my mom for a little brother. She told me that her and my dad were done having kids… but look, I got what I wanted and he is amazing π This dance had me crying once my brother started crying, but this was so special for me to have. We danced to “God Speed” by the Dixie Chicks which has been my brothers song ever since he was a baby <3
My dad did a speech, Kaitlyn (one of my best friends) did a little speech. Seans brother did his speech as Man of Honor and my sister did hers as Matron of Honor π They were all amazing and you can hear them in our wedding video linked below!
Now, if you want to see all the dancing photos, you’ll have to find me on Facebook and see the album there because there are too many to post here and some of them are pretty funny haha
Also, I loved the Sipsy trailer we had from Bartenders4you! It was so cute and worked perfect with our venue!
The beauty and love we experienced this night was unbelievable. I look at these pictures and I can’t believe this is my life. I feel so blessed. This truly was the wedding of my dreams. Everything was perfect.
